AVAD Prize Patrol Provided IBS Winner with Home Theater Makeover

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — April 8, 2005 — As Josh Barbaree of Greenwich Constructions, LLC. in Orlando happily found out, a visit to AVAD’s booth at the International Builder’s Show 2005 can net a lot more than just informative brochures and business cards. Josh was selected as one of two grand prize winners at the popular industry event, and will be receiving a complete home theater package with a 50″ Fujitsu Plasma Display, a Bose Lifestyle System with DVD Player, and a set of Bose wall-mounted speakers.

AVAD LLC, America’s leader in home technology distribution, once again impressed IBS attendees and friends in Orlando, Florida earlier this spring with the fundamental benefits and recent enhancement of its Dealer to Builder (D2B) Program. Since its inception in 2004, the D2B program has grown in leaps and bounds. Many Electronic Systems Contractors (ESCs) have already enrolled, and AVAD is expecting the program to double in size in 2005.

“The International Builder’s Show is an ideal setting to promote our D2B program,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. “It has the right audience for us to show how D2B creates viable opportunities to set the pace in their highly competitive market. The builders whom we met were very excited about the program. We are very proud of the progress that we have made this past year, and we are confident that we will make great strides in 2005.”

As in last year’s IBS event, AVAD has contributed attractive prizes to show its appreciation to visitors who stopped by the AVAD booth. This year’s grand prizes are two complete top-of-the-line home theater systems: a Fujitsu/ Bose combination and a Samsung/Marantz system.

Josh is absolutely delighted with his prize. “I have a five year old and a two year old at home, I can’t wait to see their expressions when I put on their favorite cartoon programs,” he beamed. Josh is an Orlando native and the proprietor of Greenwich Construction LLC. His company takes on custom home projects as well as custom renovations. As a homebuilder, Josh will have occasions to partner with ESCs in his custom projects. “I didn’t realize the extent of AVAD’s D2B program,” he commented. “In addition to all aspects of home entertainment, I learned at the show that AVAD also provides training as well as products in other categories such as central vac, lighting controls, and HVAC. That was quite an eye-opener.”

Brett Ogilvie from Innovative Home Theater in Orlando is AVAD’s local “prize patrol” custom installer. Brett is an experienced and certified ESC, and he will help Josh with the installation of his top of the line Fujitsu/Bose home theater system.

“My visit with AVAD at IBS was very educational,` concluded Josh. “And winning the home theater system was the icing on the cake. I appreciate the professional manner that the AVAD representatives demonstrated at the show and I shall definitely look forward to working with them in the future.”
