Van Nuys, Calif. – September 14, 2006 — Addressing the growing needs of custom installers in Chicago and the mid-Atlantic states region, AVAD LLC, America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics, announced today it opened a new distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Now accepting orders for pickup, the Raleigh distribution center will commence full-scale shipping operations in October. At 17,000 square feet, the new facility is large enough to stock a complete inventory of pre-packaged audio/video system solutions, as well as provide comprehensive product training, technical and sales support. The center is also conveniently located to the Interstate highway system — which streamlines delivery operations and expands dealer profit margins.
True to the AVAD tradition of investing heavily in the technical expertise of their dealers, the Raleigh distribution center also features a state-of-the-art training facility. The new building is located at 9300 Globe Center Drive, Suite 116, in the Morrisville suburb of Raleigh.
“We’ve been looking at that location for a number of years,” said Lindsay Davis, vice president of AVAD Southeast. We know from our market research that there is a good deal of demand — our customers have been asking for us to establish a distribution center in the area for some time.”
Bob Gartland, president of AVAD LLC commented: “We’re very excited about the growth outlook for the southeastern United States. This facility is an example of AVAD’s regional expansion plans and investments in our future and is ideally located to support our dealers in this booming area. Our partners in the southeast demand the very best in service and support, and we’ll be able to deliver with this new location.”
Open house events are planned for October of this year, with details still to come.
