Experienced Dealer and Builder Sales Professional Joins Successful D2B Program
Van Nuys, Calif. — September 2, 2007 — AVAD LLC, America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics, announced today the appointment of Teresa Ross-Johnson to the position of Dealer-To-Builder (D2B) sales manager. D2B links builders with Electronic System Contractors (ESC’s) to install AVAD’s roster of home technology systems in dwellings across the United States. With nine years of experience in industry sales focused on working with dealers and builders, Ross-Johnson is equipped with the skills necessary to continue and expand the success of the D2B program.
“We are delighted to have Teresa Ross-Johnson join our team and the D2B program,” said Bob Gartland, president of AVAD, LLC. “I am confident that her knowledge and experience in the industry will be a great asset to AVAD, as well as the dealers and builders we work with.”
“I am very excited about joining AVAD’s D2B program,” said Ross-Johnson. “The program itself has set up a great direction in giving dealers and builders what they need, and I am eager to do my part in ensuring its success.”
As D2B sales manager, Ross- Johnson is responsible for working with dealers and builders to offer packages and services of the full line of AVAD products. This will make it easier for homeowners to select upgrades and helps dealers and builders have a one-stop shop in AVAD that provides an enormous selection of product lines and services.
Prior to joining AVAD, Ross-Johnson served as Southeast regional manager at Channel Vision in Costa Mesa, Calif. and market manager at OnQ in Harrisburg, Penn. Her experience includes working with residential structured wiring sales, intercom systems and calling on dealers and builders in a sales capacity. She has nine years of industry experience.
AVAD’s D2B Program has proven to be an overwhelming success with projects in place coast-to-coast. AVAD established D2B to bring builders and Electronic Systems Contractors together to meet the exploding consumer demand for sophisticated home technology systems, electronics and other lifestyle amenities. The program makes it easier for builders to access dozens of home electronic brands at competitive pricing. AVAD’s Electronic System Contractors can install the whole gamut of home entertainment and electronic systems, including Home Theater, Whole-House Music, Lighting Control, Structured Wiring, Central Vacuum, Telephone Systems and Home Networking.
But AVAD is no ordinary wholesaler: AVAD’s Electronic System Contractors are provided with extensive training and education via AVAD University, which conducts more than 450 online and classroom training events each year. All of AVAD’s Electronic Systems Contractors receive certification in systems integration and other important skills — ensuring that the company’s installers and integrators are the most knowledgeable and highly trained professionals in the industry. Integrators and builders who are a part of the AVAD’s D2B program also receive the benefit of receiving marketing support materials and sales training that help both the integrator and builder fully communicate the benefits of new home technology systems and lifestyle amenities.
