Extraordinary Sales and Program Implementation Performance Recognized
Van Nuys, Calif. — September 10, 2007 — AVAD, LLC, America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics products, announced today that Wayne Ortner, vice president of AVAD metro east, was recognized by Lutron Electronics with a Radio RA Sales Excellence Award for Exemplary Sales Growth and Program Implementation. The award was presented at the annual Lutron AVAD PSP (Preferred System Providers) Reception on Friday, September 7 during the CEDIA Expo in Denver.
The Radio RA Sales Excellence Award is the highest honor awarded by Lutron. Ortner received the only Radio RA Sales Excellence Award of the year, and his performance speaks for itself. In each of the past two years, Ortner has obtained over 120 percent sales growth of Lutron products.
“We are very pleased to recognize Wayne Ortner for his excellent work in growing the Lutron brand,” said Blake Richetta, Lutron’s home theater distributor sales channel supervisor — US and Canada and presenter of the award. “Typically it’s the dealers who get awards, but in this case, we really wanted to acknowledge Wayne for his incredible performance. His efforts have resulted in extraordinary sales growth, and Lutron is honored to present Wayne with this award.”
“Achieving these results has been a synergistic combination of cooperation between the factory, Lutron reps and re-doubled efforts and focus by my group,” said Ortner. “It was a long building process, but the combination of these efforts and our excellent Lutron dealer network represents the greatest team in the country, and the results prove it. I am flattered that the award was given to me, but it’s really a result of my team’s hard work. I also want to acknowledge the excellent job Blake has done in setting up the sales agenda for each entire year, a year in advance.”
Lutron’s AVAD PSP Reception hosted 300 people, including AVAD employees and representatives from Lutron. Ortner was honored in front of his customers, co-workers and Lutron counterparts.
