Aurora Multimedia Corp., a leading provider of IP-based control systems, processors, and touch panels for A/V systems, today announced that it is now shipping the V-Tune Pro HD, the latest in the company’s long history of high- performance TV tuners. The new V-Tune Pro HD delivers a total tuning solution for any integrated system, whether it requires legacy NTSC tuning or ATSC/QAM capability. The new tuner is also LAN addressable and IPTV ready, capable of decoding MPEG2, MPEG4, and H.264.
As with all Aurora Multimedia products, the V-Tune Pro HD is absolutely integrator-friendly. Intuitive RS-232 command sets provide reliable two-way communication via traditional control systems, in addition to IP-based control for networked arrays. A host of video output ports supports composite video, component video, RGB, and HDMI. Audio is supported with both unbalanced RCA connections and SPDIF coaxial digital audio. The V-Tune Pro HD defines versatility, as it is compatible with nearly any integrated system typology.
“Since its unveiling at InfoComm 2008, there has been a great deal of interest in our V-Tune Pro HD, and we are pleased that this innovative solution is now available to our customers as they prepare for the DTV transition,” said Paul Harris, Aurora Multimedia’s chief executive officer. “The change to digital is not going to happen instantaneously, and there will be countless systems operating for years with traditional NTSC RF backbones. We designed the new V-Tune Pro HD to allow for staged upgrading. It will work with the legacy systems equally as well as with new digital systems.”
