Audeze announced what it claims is the world’s first On-Ear Planar Magnetic Headphone. The new model, named SINE, costs $499, folds flat for portability and are the company’s lightest and lowest priced headphone to date. They feature advanced transducer technology coupled with BMW DesignWorks USA’s fine craftsmanship. Audeze claims these highly efficient, yet lightweight headphones offer very low distortion, good bass, a seductive midrange, crisp extended high frequencies, and excellent imaging.
The 80 x 70mm planar magnetic driver has the largest surface area of any on-ear headphone in its class. Audeze says they are easy to drive thanks to proprietary Fluxor planar magnetic technology, nano-scale Uniforce diaphragms, and advanced voice-coil technology that allows a wide variety of portable players and headphone amps to immerse you in sound.

For even better sound, Audeze’s fully integrated Apple Lightning cable is also an option for the SINE headphones. The exclusive Lightning cable streams a complete 24-bit digital signal through a high quality DSP and DAC to offer better sound quality directly from the iPhone. The built in microphone can be used for phone calls or Skype and is Siri compatible.

The Audeze SINE headphones will be available for purchase in late January 2016 at Audeze.com for $499 and select retailers and will begin shipping in February 2016.
