The World’s First and Only
Reactance-Canceling In-Wall Subwoofer Saluted with Coveted Design Accolade
Incline Village, NV — November 9, 2006 — Artison, a company dedicated to meeting the technology needs of the 21st century, proudly announced today that the company’s RCC 600 In-Wall Subwoofer was selected by the Consumer Electronics Association as an Innovations 2007 Showcase Honoree — a remarkable industry accolade that champions the Subwoofer’s revolutionary design.
RCC 600 was chosen within the High Performance Audio Category by a panel of respected journalists and audio/video executives who judged more than 1,000 entries on industrial design, aesthetics, quality and usability, among other attributes.
RCC 600 will be on display during the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show January 8-11 in Las Vegas at Innovations Plus at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Booth #68747 and in the High-Performance Audio Honoree Display exhibited in The Venetian on the third floor, across from the San Polo Ballroom.
“RCC 600 being named an Innovations Honoree is an incredible achievement for Artison,” said Cary Christie, president of Artison. “RCC 600 provides rich, deep bass and interior flexibility — something no other Subwoofer on the market today offers. Its design is so concise that consumers will be amazed at the sound quality. Receiving the industry’s most acclaimed award is tremendous — and proves that we have succeeded in designing a Subwoofer that eliminates reverberation, while producing amazing sound from a sleek in-wall installation.”
Engineered by Christie, and the Artison Design Team, RCC 600 is the world’s first and only reactance-canceling, in-wall subwoofer. Using a patented approach to cabinet design, RCC 600’s components cancel out extraneous vibrations — leaving the listener with pure and unaltered sound.
RCC 600’s advanced features, such as automatic room equalization and variable low pass slopes, make the finished installation second to none. Sound controls, like power, gain, movie mode and music mode, are front panel accessible, giving consumers the ultimate in flexibility and performance. The subwoofer module enclosure made of BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) is both rigid and well damped.
The separate Rack-Mountable 600-watt, Class-D Amplifier uses state-of-the-art digital signal processing software which allows for a custom setup to match a room’s unique sound needs. Edgeless Surround technology maximizes piston area while increasing XMAX in a standard 2″ x 4″ stud wall installation.
The Subwoofer’s white finish can be painted to match any interior. Now available at Artison dealers, which include Tweeter Home Entertainment stores (over 170 nationwide), Harvey Electronics in New York and New Jersey, and many other retailers and electronic system contractors nationwide, the RCC 600 In-Wall Subwoofer’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $2,000.00, or $3,000.00 for installations involving two subwoofer modules.
