A Complete New Line of Digital and Analog Cables Constructed to Minimize Noise and Interference and Maximize Home Theater Performance

DENVER — September 14, 2006 — American Power Conversion (Nasdaq: APCC) (APC), a world leader in power availability and protection solutions, today unveiled APC AV Pro Interconnects, a complete new line of cables designed exclusively for the residential and professional market. This new series of Pro Interconnects, which includes a total of 46 models, helps home theater and whole-home applications operate at optimal performance levels, allowing the system to deliver the clearest picture and cleanest sound it is capable of.

“Today’s AV consumers recognize the value that high-quality accessories add to their home theater experience,” said Joe Loberti, general manager of APC’s Consumer Network Solutions group. “We’re excited to have the Pro Interconnects join APC’s line of award-winning AV power products, providing consumers a more comprehensive solution for their high-performance home theater components.”

All the new APC AV Pro Interconnects, including interconnects for digital coax, optical toslink, composite video, S-Video, component video, DVI and HDMI, are engineered to exacting specifications and carefully constructed with a flexible woven nylon outer jacket. Connectors are available in either highly polished chrome or precision molded PVC. All contacts are 24k gold plated for superior connectivity. All digital cables, such as DVI and HDMI, comply with the most current standards to ensure the best possible performance. The dual link DVI cables are capable of 1080p transmission to take advantage of the newest generation of flat screen displays and projectors. The analog cables use silver plated oxygen-free copper for true 75-ohm impedance and benefit from multiple shields to eliminate interference.

First-rate interconnects are essential to the overall performance of any A/V system, regardless of the application. Sold through the Custom, Retail and Pro AV channels, the entire line of Pro Interconnects were designed and built to the highest engineering standards, yet, represent a level of quality and performance at a price point that is currently not available. Offering a large variety of lengths and terminations, the Pro AV Interconnects seamlessly integrate into residential, commercial or professional installation environments.

Available in the fourth quarter 2006, prices for the APC AV Pro Interconnects range from $9.99 to $162.99. APC will exhibit these and other APC A/V products at CEDIA 2006 from September 14-17 in booth 773.
