Advanced Media Helps Take A Bite Out of Crime

Company Provides San Bernardino County, California Sheriff’s Department
with Its Innovative RIDATA 11-in-1 Flash Memory Card Reader

Diamond Bar, CA — January 31, 2005 — Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is doing its part to help fight crime. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hi Tech Crime Detail currently uses the RIDATA 11-in 1 card reader for use in its computer forensics lab for computer and Internet crimes, white collar fraud and other data involved crimes. The units, with USB 2.0 high-speed connectivity, support virtually all of the most popular storage cards, including many of the newer formats. At over 20,000 square miles, the county is larger than eight states.

“Advanced Media is happy to perform this civic duty,” remarked Andy Huang, Advanced Media (RITEK USA) Marketing Manager. “As you might imagine, a sheriff’s department receives a large amount of internal and external communications, a growing number of it on flash media cards of one type or another. Our RIDATA 11-in-1 flash memory card reader assures the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department that it will be able to use virtually any flash memory card it receives. This in turn saves it money and man hours, two critical factors budget-conscious public agencies must consider in this day and age.”

The RIDATA 11-in-1 memory card reader is compatible with CompactFlash Types I and II; Microdrive; SmartMedia; MultiMedia; reduced-size MultiMedia; Secure Digital; mini Secure Digital; Memory Stick; Memory Stick PRO; and Memory Stick Duo. Additionally, it supports Windows98/98SE/ME/2000/XP, Mac operating systems, and Linux Kernel.

Its compact size allows the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to easily transport it for use virtually anywhere a PC or laptop is available. USB 2.0 compliant, the unit offers true plug-and-play capability as well as high-speed connection and a transfer rate of up to 480 Mbps.
