Acer H6500 DLP Projector

Acer introduced the H6500 home theater DLP projector, which provides 1080p Full HD projection with exceptional color fidelity even in environments with bright ambient light. It can display true 24fps 1080p video content from a Blu-ray Disc (BD) player via its HDMI interface, making it the perfect projector for showcasing widescreen movies created in the HDTV and Blu-ray Disc formats. With 1080p Full HD and an image projection of up to 300 inches, film viewing in the home is close to seeing it in a commercial movie theater.

The new projector provides crisp, rich visuals with brightness up to 2,100 ANSI lumens, which can be dimmed to 1,680 to save power. Leveraging Acer's eColor Boost II+ technology and wall-color compensation, the Acer H6500 makes colors pop on any surface, even tinted walls. Plus, ColorSafe II prevents color decay by using DLP technology, which provides picture integrity even with prolonged use. Images are displayed in the native 16:9 aspect ratio, which can be adjusted to 4:3. The 10,000:1 contrast ratio means deeper darks and brighter whites, while maintaining crisp images.

Acer H6500 DLP Projector - Back

The Acer H6500 features a sleek, intuitive design with a control pad conveniently located on top. An aesthetically-pleasing look and feel includes a white and gray matte finish and rounded contours. It's also easy to transport, weighing just 5.6 pounds and measuring 10.6-inches (L) by 8.1-inches (W) by 3.3-inches (H). A range of outputs provide users with several options for accessing content. These include composite, component, USB, D-Sub and HDMI. With multiple-PC source input, several PCs can be connected to the projector at the same time.

Simple Set Up; Easy to Use
Handy utilities make set up easy. With the installation menu, signal input from a notebook is no longer required to enable the on-screen display (OSD) menu, making projector installation on the ceiling quicker and easier.

The IR remote control features the Acer Empowering Technology key, which provides instant access to all Acer projector technologies that include ePower Management, eTimer Management, eView Management and eOpening Management. With Acer eView Management, adjusting projector settings to suit any environment and content is fast. eOpening Management allows users to easily create a customized start-up screen for their projector, which can include favorite photos. This model also comes with Acer SmartFormat Technology, which supports comprehensive wide-format PC signals, so there is no need to change the resolution of a wide-format notebook and wrestle with “signal not supported” issues.

An Instant Resume feature enables the projector to resume projection immediately after it has been turned off. The power can be turned on and off at any time during the two-minute shutdown process. There's no need to wait for the device to cool off before resuming projection.

Long Lamp Life — Power Savings
The Acer H6500's long lamp life reduces replacement costs and ensures long-term, dependable projector use. It provides up to 3,500 hours of standard lamp life, 5,000 hours in ECO mode and as long as 6,000 hours in ExtremeECO mode. With ExtremeECO, the power consumption of the projector can be reduced up to 70 percent and the lamp life can be extended as well. The projector will automatically enter ExtremeECO mode for saving power if there is no signal input.

Price, Availability and Warranty
