Naim Audio has announced yet another listening option for its award-winning Mu-so 2nd Generation family of wireless speakers, with a free software update enabling TIDAL Connect.
TIDAL Connect allows you to explore all the rich features of the TIDAL App, and stream your choices in superb quality direct to your Naim speaker. Users can continue to enjoy core TIDAL streaming functionality via the Naim App if they prefer.
TIDAL Connect is also the only casting technology to feature support for the extended audio formats available through TIDAL HiFi, including Master Quality Authenticated recordings (MQA), and Dolby Atmos. MQA delivers master quality sound as the artist intended it, and Dolby Atmos provides listeners with breakthrough immersive audio experiences through spatialized, object-based audio.
TIDAL also offers music lovers unlimited access to its extensive catalogue of over 60 million tracks across all genres, thousands of expertly curated playlists by TIDAL’s seasoned editorial team and endless artist radio stations. With “HiFi Albums For You” and “New HiFi Tracks For You,” TIDAL curates playlists based on user listening patterns so HiFi members can listen to the latest releases in the best quality available. Immediately upon creating an account, members will receive a personalized “Welcome Mix” featuring music from their favorite artists and inspiring new music discovery.
Eric Pye recently reviewed the Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation Wood Edition and found a lot to like; Qobuz still doesn’t work in Alberta making TIDAL and Spotify his platforms of choice.
The Firmware 4.3 update for Mu-so 2nd Generation, Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation, Mu-so 2nd Generation Wood Edition and Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition (pictured top) will be released on December 9th, when it will be quick and easy to install via the Naim App.
It follows an earlier update for Naim Uniti players and dedicated streamers; the brand’s entire current range now supports TIDAL Connect. Further free functionality upgrades are planned across the entire Naim music-streaming family, giving users even more ways to enjoy their system.
TIDAL Connect is available to all subscribers to the streaming service; a 90-day free trial is available for new users when they buy any of the current Naim streaming family. Try TIDAL HiFi free for 30-days.
