The Home Entertainment Show 2022 is in full swing this weekend (June 10-12, 2022) and audio gear and the sound of music have filled the Hilton Hotel in Long Beach, CA, to the delight of the exhibitors, panel presenters, and attendees, including our own.
In the home theater category, SVS is on hand with a 5.2.2 multichannel home theater surround sound system featuring popular entries from their speaker line-up.
The main system in the exhibit includes a pair of Prime Pinnacle Tower speakers for the main channels, an Ultra Center channel speaker, and two Prime Bookshelf speakers for the surrounds, and the bass is provided by a pair of SB-3000 subwoofers (one subwoofer is never enough for the die-hard home theater fan).
However, things don’t stop there. SVS has also included a pair of its Prime Elevation speakers for Dolby Atmos demos. The Prime Elevation Speakers are designed as an option where height speakers are needed for the best Dolby Atmos effect, but you don’t want to cut into your ceiling to mount overhead speakers.
All of the speakers and components were connected with SVS SoundPath Ultra Speaker cables and SoundPath Ultra HDMI cables (coming soon).
The total cost of the system shown is $5,900, making it one of the more affordable setups being shown at the T.H.E. Show.

“Hey! I hear Metallica!”, said my son and so I dutifully followed his lead and behold! He was right.
Rammstein’s “Du Hast” was up next and this system impressed all present, all the more. I have only two 10″powered subs in my modest “LoTT Theatre” and in a 10′ X 10′ room, that is ample enough for this plebe but this room was the sonic equivalent of Valhalla at lunchtime (!) with its power full bass.
Verily, a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
