With the increased popularity of gaming, TV makers are competing to include more gaming-friendly features. Recently, LG added Stadia Cloud Gaming to select TV models and after a brief Beta-Test period, they have officially added NVIDIA GeForce Now Cloud Gaming to select models.
UPDATE: Google Stadia has been discontinued as of January 18, 2023.
LG’s GeForce NOW Promotion
To make sure the Gaming community knows, LG is offering a special promotion: GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming Priority membership is available to all consumers who purchase select LG 2021 4K Smart TV models from Feb. 1 to Mar. 20 2022.
NOTE: To get the free six-month Priority membership, purchase a qualifying LG TV and submit a claim. Upon claim approval, you’ll receive an NVIDIA GeForce NOW promo code along with redemption instructions via email. Contact LG or NVIDIA Customer Service for further details if needed.
LG TV GeForce NOW Support
LG’s OLED TVs are especially suited for GeForce Now with their ability to display absolute black, accurate/vivid color, fast response times, extremely low input lag, and support for HDMI 2.1-enabled gaming features, including Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM).
GeForce NOW allows users to stream free-to-play games purchased from online stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and Origin.
Priority membership provides faster access to NVIDIA’s servers so there’s no waiting for games to start, extended session times, ray-traced graphics with RTX ON, and seamless, high-res gameplay up to 60 frames per second.
No additional hardware is needed except for a compatible controller. LG TV users can play supported games they already own or access any one of the many free-to-play titles available on GeForce NOW, including Rocket League and Destiny 2, as well as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Crysis Remastered Trilogy.
