UPDATE: Google Stadia has been discontinued as of January 18, 2023. This article is preserved for historical reference.
LG Electronics USA announces that Stadia (Google’s Cloud Gaming Service) is now available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 5.0 and webOS 6.0 through the LG Content Store. Here is a look at the LG TV webOS 6.0 home screen.
Stadia lets you instantly play video games on your compatible LG TV. Native support of Stadia gameplay on LG Smart TVs delivers instant access to high-end games with support for detailed graphics and frame rates.
Available now to download on the LG Content Store in the United States and the 21 other countries where it is currently available, Google Stadia Gaming features more than 200 popular games such as:
In addition, users also have access to a growing list of free games and demos, all playable with just a compatible controller, no downloading required.
Stadia Pro subscribers also get access to a growing library of 30-plus games to claim and play, with new titles added every month and exclusive discounts on games and add-on content.
Tip: Stadia Pro supports 4K/HDR graphics and 60 fps gameplay plus immersive 5.1 surround sound on select games.
To access Stadia Pro you need to pay a $9.99/mo. subscription fee. However, all new Stadia users qualify for one free month of Stadia Pro.

Note: A minimum internet connection speed of 10 megabits per second (Mbps) is required. However, we suggest faster speeds for smooth gameplay, especially for 4K/HDR gaming.
The best part of the LG/Stadia partnership is that you don’t need a specific game console or PC to play great games as they are streamed from the Cloud directly to your TV. However, you do need to connect a compatible game controller to your LG TV to control gameplay. Check out more details on which game controllers may work.
For those that prefer Game Console or PC Gaming, select LG TVs are also Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and Xbox Series X Compatible.
