Goer Dynamics, owner of Dynaudio and Auro Technologies, has announced a minority stake investment in Gryphon Audio Designs (aka The Gryphon), an ultra luxury high-end audio company based in Denmark. Gryphon has a track record of making some of the most highly-regarded home audio components and loudspeakers in the world, which are not only distinguished by their engineering, but a “Nordic Noir” motif as well. Gryphon is essentially the “Lamborghini of Audio” for those wondering where they sit across the price, prestige and performance spectrum.
As part of the partnership, Goer Dynamics will serve as the exclusive distributor of Gryphon products across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. With a renewed retail strategy tailored to reflect Gryphon’s reputation for prestige and cutting-edge design, Goer aims to tap into the region’s growing base of discerning audiophiles.
Another key driver of this collaboration is the potential for Gryphon to enter the automotive audio sector—a first for the brand. To our knowledge, Gryphon has never ventured into car audio before, making this a potentially bold new chapter in its high-end audio journey.
This partnership represents an important opportunity to push the boundaries of high-end audio. With a shared vision for excellence, Goer Dynamics and Gryphon Audio Designs are set to elevate the Gryphon brand in new markets, reaching audiophiles, music enthusiasts, and those who value exceptional craftsmanship and cutting-edge design.
Gryphon Audio Designs has stated that it will continue under the same management, with no changes to daily operations, service, and support.

About Gryphon Audio Designs
Gryphon Audio Designs is the brainchild of Flemming E. Rasmussen (retired since 2018), which launched in 1984. It is the fulfillment of Flemming’s lifelong dream to allow the purest essence of the live music experience to be recreated in the home environment. His legacy continues on, as well as the ethos of quality and performance embodied in all Gryphon products.
Now under the leadership of CEO, Jakob Odgaard, Head of Engineering, Thomas Moeller, and Global Sales Director, Rune Skov, Gryphon has gained a lot of notoriety in the high-end luxury audio space.

Their mission is “Connect people through better sound”. They provide high-quality products through our craftsmanship and technology to meet the more varied needs of users, and deliver beautiful sound to the world.

The Bottom Line
Acquiring a minority interest in Gryphon Audio seems to be part of Goer’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its position in the high-end audio market—elevating its portfolio into the luxury category with Gryphon leading the charge.
It also appears that Goer not only aims to expand Gryphon’s distribution footprint across Asian markets but is also eyeing the brand’s distinctive luxury design language as a gateway into the high-end automotive audio space. While Gryphon has not previously ventured into automotive sound systems, this partnership opens the door to that possibility.
With brands like McIntosh and Sonus faber already carving out strong positions in luxury vehicles, Gryphon could become the next ultra-premium name to ride shotgun—literally. More details on upcoming products and the automotive initiative are expected soon.

Two very solid brands but different audiences.
This feels like the Sonus faber/McIntosh play into the high end automotive market with Maserati, Jeep, and the Italian yacht company.
Which car brands are left? Ferrari doesn’t offer high end audio in their cars and like 8 people can afford a Bugatti.
Be interesting to see how this plays out.

I agree but Dynaudio is not exactly mid-tier high-end audio. They make some very expensive loudspeakers (both pro audio and consumer) at the top of the range. I rather like their products. Not flashy but solid driver engineering.
If you look back into our archives, Chris and I have both tried out the Jeep and Maserati with the Sonus faber systems. They’re very good. I think the Grecale Trofeo smokes the Jeep Grand Wagoneer with its eyes firmly planted on Meloni and without even trying.A lot of money for an American jeep.
I’m just puzzled which luxury automakers are left? Rivian? Bugatti (as your mentioned) or Mayabch? M-B uses Burmester in their cars. Rivian uses Sonos or Bose? Nobody is putting a Gryphon/Dynaudio system in a KIA or Toyota (which have terrible stereo systems).
I’d love to see one in a Mazda CX-90, but wrong crowd for that.
