Indy Audio Labs will have two separate demonstration spaces at CEDIA 2023 in Denver with a rather wide range of partners including AWOL, Screen Innovations, Kaleidescape and PhaseTech.
Aragon and Acurus received a lot of attention from us back in 2021 for the simple reason that the folks at Indy Audio Labs have done a remarkable job resurrecting these once highly respected high-end audio brands.
There’s no need to finger point at the loudspeaker company that purchased both brands many years ago and didn’t exactly carry on the legacy with the respect it deserved — but let’s just say the folks in Indiana know what they’re doing.
Sorry Klipsch.
We reviewed the reference caliber Acurus Muse A/V Processor with the Theory Audio Design 5.2.2 Home Theater system and couldn’t believe just how far both both brands elevated the art of home theater sound for less than $20,000 (2021 prices).
The dedicated home theater room will see Acurus partner with PhaseTech by MSE Audio, who will host the room. One side will showcase an unparalleled audio and video experience that demonstrates how integrators bring opulent audio video into real-world homes, in everyday spaces, featuring the Acurus MUSE 16-channel Preamp Processor, dARTS 5000 series speakers and DCB410 subwoofers, all providing critical parts of a precision acoustic system.
The MUSE 16-channel immersive media room processor boasts 112 surround sound speaker configurations, including 52 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive speaker options — up to an amazing 15.1 configured immersive audio media room.
Setting up any of these is a snap with the intuitive UI available both on the front panel and via a refreshingly simple-to-use mobile app. System integration is simplified through many 3rd party control solutions supported by the MUSE.
Also collaborating are other manufacturers such as Screen Innovations, who are showing their 120” Zero Edge frame Short Throw Projection Screen.
AWOL, will be demonstrating the LTV-3500 Pro, a triple laser ultra-short-throw projector that is capable of filling a 150″ ALR screen and offers 3500 lumens of brightness. The UST projector is also equipped with the Ricoh F2.0 pure glass lens, which is the largest on the market right now.
Kaleidescape will have more than 40 of their award-winning movie servers and players in operation at CEDIA 2023 including the brand new Terra Prime Movie Servers.
The Terra Prime features an all-new board design with faster processing power and faster network – the only dedicated movie server with 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. The new servers are available with either high-capacity hard drives (HDD) or fast solid-state drives (SSD).
The Aegis Artemis Wide cabinet with a motorized compartment and ventilated shelves, will house the AWOL projector. Ethereal will provide HDMI, AV cables, and connectivity.
On the other side of a partition will be a dedicated 2-channel set-up. Designed for serious stereo listening or luxury home theater applications, the Aragon Tungsten preamplifier will drive a pair of Induction Dynamics loudspeakers, with amplification by an Aragon Titanium dual monoblock amplifier.
At CEDIA Expo, Indy Audio Labs are teaming up with MSE Audio and other top-notch manufacturers to create an electrifying showcase of Acurus and Aragon products. From immersive processors to high-performance speakers and amplifiers, our collaboration pushes the boundaries of audio excellence. Get ready to be blown away by the perfect fusion of cutting-edge technology, affordable luxury, and the ultimate in home entertainment experiences!”, says Rick Santiago, co-founder/CEO of Indy Audio Labs.
