Paved Paradise Touring Boutique & Swinging Hot Spot Integrates Qobuz Streaming

Paved Paradise is coming to a city near you on the East Coast in September and it looks like the traveling music show we need.

How are they going to fit all of this into one van? Can you imagine if the high-end audio industry packed 20 companies into one van and visited 15 cities in less than a month and focused on college students? I’ve proposed this idea to companies for 5 years but at least the music industry understands why this needs to happen now after 17 months of no live music. Paved Paradise sounds like the type of music show we really want to attend.

The Secretly Group, a rather large label consortium that includes Dead OceansGhostly InternationalJagjaguwarNumero Group and Secretly Canadian, will embark on a traveling outdoor label expo, visiting 15 cities across the eastern United States.

The traveling road show will begin on 9/9 and conclude on 9/26 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. What’s really cool about Secretly’s Touring Boutique & Swinging Hot Spot is that it integrates a Qobuz Hi-Res listening station for attendees to enjoy all of this great music.

Paved Paradise brings the record store experience outdoors, giving attendees the opportunity to listen all of the latest sounds from five record companies doing their thing somewhat differently during the pandemic.

The label group has had an extraordinary few years with a roster that includes multiple Grammy winner Bon IverPhoebe BridgersSharon Van EttenMoses SumneyMitskiAngel OlsenKhruanbingJapanese Breakfast and Big Red Machine, the collaboration between Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner, whose current single, “Renegade,” featuring Taylor Swift, is nearing the Top 15 at Hot AC, a first for label Jagjaguwar.

These outdoor events are taking place underneath two tents and attendees can expect to find crates filled with LPs, 45s, cassettes and CDs, including exclusive product, limited colored-vinyl variants, out-of-print items, gently used LPs, vintage compact discs and small-run tapes.

Tape sales are up in 2021 and it’s how indie artists can earn additional revenue after not touring for so long.
