What separates a hit song from those that never had their 15 minutes of fame or were relegated to one hit wonder status? Black Circle Radio Host, Mitch Anderson, shines the spotlight on songs that deserved a much better fate and belong in every music collection.
On this week’s episode of “How Was that Not a Hit?” – we take a trip to Xanadu and pay tribute to the late-Olivia Newton-John who passed away on August 8th, 2022, after multiple battles with breast cancer. The iconic “Grease” star and four-time Grammy Award winning artist released “The Last Time You Loved” in 1976 and it never gained the success it deserved. Was the timing off or did the song just not resonate with audiences?

It’s a great song but wasn’t a hit because it was never released as a single. The singles from the album were the title song – Don’t Stop Believin’, Every Face Tells A Story and Sam. All 3 songs charted on Billboard.
