Ps2 plays games but not DVDs

ruther New member Username: Xscanner Post Number: 2 Registered: Jan-06	Posted on Monday, January 09, 2006 - 05:42 GMT i have a new ps2 slim bought in taiwan.. i have a dvd games ( death by degrees etc.. ), audio cds also works.. but when i played a dvd movie it doesnt work.. it says please insert a ps2 formatted disk.. but the manual reads it can play dvd/dvd-r/ etc.. please help !!!!!
