I currently have one of the first PS2 models out and I am runnng the video from it to my TV through a standard yellow RCA cable. My audio is run to my Onkyo 701 reciever by an optical cable. Will I see a better picutre is I get the componet plug and use that for video to my TV? I am aslo using my PS2 as a DVD player. I am looking around a good DVD player now and may wait until more come out with the DVI hookup.
