Moderator Username: AdminPost Number: 4454 Registered: Dec-03 | You can now upload an image (.jpg only) sized 50x50 pixels to your profile. At this time your picture will only appear on your profile page. In the future we'll plan to put this picture next to your posts, but that's not enabled yet. Let me know if you have any problems uploading images. If you're not sure how to re-size, edit, crop an image to be sized 50x50 pixels, this online site makes it relatively easy: http://www.resizr.com → |

Moderator Username: AdminPost Number: 4455 Registered: Dec-03 | I am waiting to see how much it gets abused. If most people upload a picture of themselves that could be useful. But if everyone uploads an obscene image, picture of someone else, or random stuff I don't see much use it placing that next to each post. |

Usually that is the point of an avatar. Pictures of random stuff and different graphics is an expression of personality. That is extremely useful on any forum. Avatars would be a GREAT idea, if we can have more than just pics of ourself, and keep it safe for work. |

Moderator Username: AdminPost Number: 4462 Registered: Dec-03 | I have seen avatars in other forums. There are a couple ways to implement those pics:

No" I'm going to go change all my avatars on the forums I'm on to a picture of myself just to prove this statement false lol. Cool stuff Admin. Thanks |
Moderator Username: AdminPost Number: 4509 Registered: Dec-03 | My main point was to prevent offensive pictures from being used as avatars. I am not going to require everyone post a pic of themselves, although that could help create a more friendly environment. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 9322 Registered: Jul-06 | Cool feature but one problem: Size limit is WAY too small... most computers today have high resolution screens that make 50x50 so tiny you can barely see it. Also I agree it should be shown next to posts. |
