ok, but don't laugh. i will be upgrading over the next year or 2 (i spent about 12 grand in the past year). the front speakers are bose 701"s that the wife bought me about 5 years ago. the center is a bose vcs-10 that she got me for christmas. the rears are bose 161. technics turntable (i stiil have about 500 albums and play 2 or 3 a year). kenwood vr6060 reciever. samsung dvd player comcast dvr monster 3500 power center (refurb from e bay 120 dollars) velodyne dls 3750 sub on the rear wall between rear speakers (a real picture rattler). another bose center speaker and kenwood reciever waiting to go into the office. i want to get a pioneer elite reciever and a front pair of b&w xt4's.
the "digital projector" is cool. i would have put in in wall polk's but it was going to be major. also besides getting rid of the stereo speakers next to the stand it gets rid of the reciever in the stand. the wife saw this and refused to leave the store without it. it can sound a little "echoy" on some broadcasts and i find myself changing settings more often than on the one downstairs (movie, music, stereo, 5 beam etc etc). the coolest setting is the "my beam" for night listening. does a great job in stereo for cd's.
the tv is actually mounted between the cabinets and sliding door sort of splitting the kitchen and family room. it is on a swivel wall mount so we can watch it at the table or on the couch.
Wow that's beautiful stuff! I'm assuming that all the cables run inside the wall on the kitchen setup? I'm very new to the whole in wall monkey business. Man I need to find me a woman that'll buy me speakers for special occasions! Cool set ups
yeah, all the wires are in the wall. i used those things they use in a desktop to run wires thru one behind the monitor and one behind the stand and one behind the "projector". used a plumbers snake to pull the wires thru. i'm waiting until she lets me get the yamaha subwoofer that was designed to go with it. it will fit in the stand.
