Ok heres the deal, I bought this thing years ago and used it all the time then bought an mp3 player and shelved it for a few years, i was cleaning my PC room and found it and want to start using it again, my pc has a creative labs audigy 2 card which has both an optical in and out, can these be used? What soft ware should i use to transfer songs? i have tried sonicstage, doesn't recognize the MD, tried real player doesn't recognize the MD. tried musicmatch jukebox, doesn't recognize the MD. tried creative labs mediaSource and it gives me the option to transfer but at full length, not the sony format. I'm not sure if every thing is working properly though,, I know the optcal cable is good cause i see red light. I have tried 2 different usb cables so pretty sure they work the MD player always worked before and still plays music but i want to add more now. any help would be appreciated, i'm fairly good with electronics so i can trouble shoot if you wanna offer suggestions.
