I plugged in my ipod to my PC and when I was finished I clicked "safely remove hardware" after doing so my computer froze, when it released it tried again but no luck. I waited 30 minutes and the same thing happened and it was eating my battery (when I plugged it in it was fully charged) 1 hour later it was nearly depleated. Not knowing what to do I unplugged the USB cable. I plugged the ipod back in and I received a message " malfunction, can not read mass device". I figure it is because I unplugged it "unsafely" is there anything I can do to correct my poor judgement?
