I heard that portable dvd players can play mp3s, but does that mean that you can burn 3.5 gigs of mp3s on a dvd disk and simply play it in a dvd player?
Can these portable DVD players be hooked up to a car's sound system?
I'm looking for a portable DVD player only for the purpose of playing mp3s, so I dont need a monitor and it has to be really small (size of a portable CD player). Do those exist?

No they do not exist. There DVD players that can play mp3s without a monitor but they are not very portable And of course their purpose is mainly to watch movies. The mp3 capability is an added bonus or feature. NOT all DVD players can play mp3 DVDs. Small, yes, but not portable.
