A simple yet annoying problem...the latest version of iTunes persists in sorting all titles beginning with "The" under "T", rather than under the first letter of the next word, as is most traditional. I am 90% sure it didn't used to do this, but it's been a few months since I used it, so I am not sure. I only notice now because I just got an iPod, which suffers from the same problem. Since I have it set to automatic update, I imagine fixing it in iTunes would also fix it on the Pod. I looked all over for a setting I could change, but found nothing. Help?
iTunes is not intelligent in that manner. It arranges files by way of the first letter of the title and is not programmed to ignore "the" in a file. If you want you could remove the word "the' from the file name.
