Carlin was epic, so is Williams. Bits from Eddie Murphy will always stick in my head as well.
TV series? I have to side with Cheers. It was MY show on Thursday nights. I swear to god I sat in a room alone watching the series finale.
I had to. I didn't know how I was going to react to it lol. All in all I LOVED the show. Why? Because it's a mirror on life itself. We all need a place where everyone knows your name and you can forget your troubles, for at least a little while lol. God I miss that show.
yes its a nice time but ppl really tend to over do the spending unnecessary crap & drain their bank acts - its more like 50% commercialism & 50% religious probably less too but im being generous ...
I dunno Rovin. I have so many great memories related to Christmas that have nothing to do with spending a dime. I enjoy seeing family members and seeing them enjoy each others' company. If it takes a holiday to do that then more power to it.
The magic is still within me................just muffled a bit due to age I guess lol.
Someday it will be me waiting on a couch, looking forward to seeing my own kids and their kids to pay a visit, making me feel better about life.
I agree though that Christmas has become far too commercialized and drawn out for profit. I hate that. It's NOT what it's supposed to mean.
All done. Wrapping is complete. Enjoying a glass of red wine. Yes wine lol. I figure I'll start making my own after the new year using my beer brewing supplies.
Best gift I received was from my son. He got me a $25 gift card paid for out of his own piggybank. Mind you I give him and my daughter $2/week allowance so that equals a 3 month savings for my gift. I was blindsided.
Naturally I'll put the $25 back into his piggybank when he isn't looking but the thought just blew my mind away. It made my day/christmas.
My daughter got me a cell phone case. Equally as nice.
Again, it's the thought that counts and I got a TON of it this year.
Yeah it's a lazy day for me too. Had to shovel myself out of about 12" of snow but short of that just enjoying time off work. I had 5 days off for Xmas and will have the same for new years. I just have to work on Wednesday is all.
Well with your line of work you have those little luxuries. Me? I'm up at 6 am every morning during the week. Get my son dressed and fed breakfast and make sure his bookbag is ready to go before I'm off to work. Not back home until 6pm or so. Check his homework, make dinner, yada yada yada. Make sure he takes a shower and in bed by 8.
In this economy I'm just grateful to have a job to get up for.
There are way too many taking advantage of the system and "riding" the wave of unemployment benefits and disability. It's killing us all. Those deserving withheld, the system is such a failure IMO.
My brother-in-law has a younger sister who as a teen never wanted to work. So she found a way to get injured on the job, just to claim disability.
She was 18, working in a mall. Now she has "back" problems due to lifting boxes. WHAMMOO!!!!
Yet another draw on our system.
Multiply that by the millions who also cheat the system and you see why our insurance costs are what they are.
Nope, not a shame with her, a crime. She is riding the system and it's a disgrace. She is in her early 20's and hobbles around on crutches, when ppl are looking.
She is perfectly capable and able to walk on her own but chooses not to, to satisfy her doctors so she can continue her disability payments.
It infuriates me to watch this kind of blatant disregard of insurance fraud to continue. Yet, what kind of power do I have?
Sean, there are so many false claims of this type that it makes me sick almost to the point of vomiting.
I work for an hour, I get paid for an hour. THAT'S life.
Hope you all had a good new year. I myself just found out a guy I work with passed away...........right on new year's morning. He went to bed new year's eve and never woke up. No autopsy as of yet. Damn shame. He was in his mid to late 40's with at least one kid. Nobody knows what condition hew was in but I've worked with him for 10+ years and sadly he has a checkered past with drugs and the law. Even when he cleaned up his past would always haunt him. I didn't know him personally enough to judge his current battle with his addictions so we all wait on the report.
imho they r heavily underrated & takes it once u know what ur doing & giving it clean unclipped power , shud have a 500wrms rating at least
box is tuned around 30hz & most the sub wud move is about 1\2" & about 3\4" on "in the air tonight " remix when that looow note kicks in
once did :
close to 800\900wrms on a 500w type r
about 1800wrms on a pair of re se 10s rated 600wrms each
wire a dual 4ohms pioneer 400wrms to my orion 2500d which does 1700wrms @ 2ohms .... also did that to a 12" atomic quantum series rated 1000wrms & it took that 1700wrms without any problem
others i did too but cant remember , i never killed any sub with music as yet
even 6.5" 50wrms pioneer coax getting 150wrms over the past 6mths playing from 50hz up ...
Well you said it with clean power. I can only guess as to why sub manufacturers under rate their gear, because the majority of their customers over power them in the first place. Fi is a prime example. The Q, along with just about every other sub they make, can take much more than it's rated for. Smart move if you ask me in a marketing view. That way word of mouth will spread that their product is built like a brick shïthouse.
To prove my point take the lower end of sub manufacturers like Sony and Pyle. THEY over rate their products so much just for the wow factor it gives their uneducated customers. Makes them feel they are getting much more than they paid for. All they are really getting is an education in mass marketing.
Wassup everyone?!?!?! It's been way, way, way too long! Well over a year since I have been on E. Finally graduated from school and am now working. WOOT!
