yeh so my country had a general election on monday & we finally got rid of a dictator , corrupt\discriminating bunch of crooks govt & got a far better 1 lead by a great woman who is our 1st female prime minister ever
so things are going to get better from now on .......
i hate to say this, but these camera section threads are always the most BORING things we talk about, i rarely ever check them anymore. the most interesting threads are in OT and the SAT section. lol
Yes this place is slipping. Years ago I was posting 30+/day. There just isn't the excitement like before. More like why bother? Yet I must still check in everyday like some sort of ritual, hoping for drama to entertain myself with.
Muddy, I concur. I only wish Brian would have taken our collective advice and implemented some of our most crucial suggestions in improving this place. We've tried countless times with all too familiar results sadly. This machine is what it is. It's like living in the swamp and complaining about the smell.
Leo, I like giving the phone to my 9 year old son when a telemarketer calls. I've trained him to tell them I'm in the basement sharpening knives and to ask them what they're wearing and crap lol. He'll even start on what their favorite video games are. He can get them going for 3+ minutes!!!!
I stopped receiving a lot of calls from telemarketers...dunno why. I remember they used to ask 'how are you doing'....and oh boy did I ever stop talking. I would just go on and on telling them every damn detail and stuff that doesn't even make sense lol. Would not even give them a chance to talk.
Muddy - if you like that song Jogi from Punjabi MC - i can get you a nice list of songs. I listen to a lot of that music lol although I don't understand everything they but i do understand a good part.
Punjabi MC got a bit famous with one song they did with Jay Z and everyone went crazy over the beat. I'm sure you heard it. Its Punjabi MC - Mundian To Bach Ke
Gots to get up at 6:30am tomorrow for my son's double header baseball game day. 7:30 is too freaking early on a Saturday for this chit lol.
So how does everyone feel about the BP oil spill? Recent estimates put this disaster at 8X the Exxon/Valdez mess! Only getting worse too. I've read that this could eventually reach shores 1000's of miles away. We're not talking about a local problem anymore but a global one. Florida could see a devastation like none other, due to it's delicate ecosystem.
What pisses me off is that while 40,000/barrels a day are spewing out the politicians are taking their sweet ole time in making real time decisions. I read that there's a meeting next Wednesday to discuss BP's actions???????????????????????
WTF??? Stop this sh1t NOW!!! Not decide on BS next week!
Stupid horseplay. He was in the kitchen when his brother knocked over the bench for their breakfast nook. The bench came right down on his foot. They just got word from the docs that they're not 100% it's broke and they put his foot/leg in a splint. He has to see an orthopedic specialist now to determine if he needs a hards cast. He probably will.
im pretty stooked I just got my 6 foot hdmi cable for my ps3 so I can watch movies on my 46 inch toshiba regza lcd in 1080p...popped in king kong not too bad so far
Then I got a 6 foot dvi to hdmi cable to go from my computers upgraded video card to the hdmi slot on my tv.....pretty nice surfing on a 46 inch lcd as well as being able to play movies off my computers hard drive
The only thing left for me to hook up is my denon receiver to my rca male plugs to the receiver then the 1/8 inch stereo input to the computers sound card then ill haave big sound with my nht classic 4 speakers
I also have a avermedia tv tuner card that im going to hook up to the computers usb port and get my feed from my dish network satellite im pretty sure i can record programs onto my computers hard drive with it....sweet
oh and i have a wireless mouse and keyboard combo hooked up along with a netflix memebership for movie selecting too
So I'm thinking of a new TV. Walmart has a 42" flat screen for only $488. I don't need one and seeing as I rarely watch TV except for movies anyway it would be an impulse buy. Maybe I'll wait some more. In a year I bet I could get a 50" for the same price.
hey i was watching some old wwf wrestling & in it this song was THE SKY SCRAPPERS theme song back then & its been ages since i heard it
so i went on utbe to search it & was amazed it was a olddddd early 80s scorpions hit , im a fan of everything they did but somehow this 1 escaped me , has 1 of d sickest meaning sounding intros EVER !
Yeah I'll wait for the screaming technology curve to slow a bit. For me I replace PC's about every 3 years. TVs? About 7. For me it's got to be an educated purchase on a good quality product if I'm to own it for that long.
Rovin if you like intros try ACDC's Thunderstruck. It's awesome to say the least. I highly recommend listening off a cd at high volume. The first 90 seconds are killer!
it has a feature to disable the internal MOSFET amps inside the CD player and send the signal directly to the amplifier, so that it isnt amplified twice. The level of sound detail is unmatched from what i have heard. Extremely happy with my iPod browsing capabilities as well.
Yes. The precision the Mag had was like nothing I ever owned. The Q is just able to get a bit lower while also maintaining punchy accuracy. The mag was in other words a tank with a sniper's shot so to speak.
Trying to survive this heat wave. 99 degrees now and 101 and 102 expected for tomorrow and Wednesday. Upper 90's after that until the weekend. No rain either. Lawns are brown now and feel like hay when walked on. Pool water is upper 80's now.
im excited I just bought a Western Digital 2TB Elements USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive to go along with my two 640 gig external hitachi hard drives I have and two 250 gig internal hard drives.....plenty of space for movies and music on my home theater/media player/game machine
If you can wait do it. HD space is always getting cheaper. Especially externals. Years ago I paid $200 for a 200 gig external. A year later I bought a 500 gig for less. Today? TB drives are the common for the same or less as well.
yea they are ok. It is not easy to tell the difference between the 8 gig rips or the 30 gig disks. I have yet to download a 30 + gig movie - now THATS a waste of space. The largest film I have is Avatar - about 14 gigs.
I also have about 300 dvdrips about 800mbs each. Those i started downloading yeaaars ago.
i used to always download from torrents but since now I am greedy for quality, i have an account with rapidshare and download bigger movies from there. For me to download 12 gigs from torrents can sometimes take days. With rapidshare, I can have it within a couple of hours. The 1 gb movies takes me about 15 minutes to download. My account with rapidshare cost about 9 bux for the month or something around that.
Don't use torrents myself. I always tagged them as today's Kazaa or Limewire. I was always worried about getting snagged so I never looked into them. I'm a pirate so I know if I found a way to steal copyrighted stuff I wouldn't stop lol.
I know I've said it before but here it goes again:
Someday soon, the digital world will conceive a media format that will enable the entire HD movie content of a film to be recorded on a piece of plastic the size of a credit card or less. Your movie collection on VHS was the size of a small room, then on DVD to a wall in a room, soon it will all fit inside a briefcase.
i decided im going to put my whole music collection on my hard drive i just need to decide how I want to save them since I want the best sound quality from the files
I got my western digital element 2 tb drive and its not working right at all it wont save files right or delete them in a timely manner....I dont have the drive partitioned at all just one massive partition as it comes out of the box so that could be it but there are no directions telling you to do so
