can digital camcorders record stuff like on a tape or will it just play stuff on the computer? i was looking at on and i was like "where does that little tape thing go?" and which camcorder would you say would be good for a beginner?

oh yea and mini DVs? can those be put on tapes?

yes, the mini dv's have a cable that you connect to your tv or vcr. so you can playback to the tv or record it to a vcr tape. i like sharp. good stuff,good price. got one referbished from (www.referb depot.com) cheep.
