New TRV-350 Digital is capable of playing back old Hi-8/8mm tapes, but will not record the analog tape sound onto PC. I am using PXELA Image Mixer or Windows XP Movie Software. Any advice??

When you connect the camera to your TV via A/V cables, do you hear sound? If you do then try connecting the analog audio to your PC with an adapter cable. You may also have to adjust the level on the line input by using the Windows Mixer.
If you are using firewire, does the audio work when you use a D-8 tape. If it does, i'm not sure, but I would imagine there will be a setting in the cammera to send the audio through the firewire port. The Hi-8 picture is analog and it's getting out.
Can't get any analog sound into or thru computer. Have tried different sources, cables, and a different sound card. Still no sound. Line is not muted. Any suggestions?
