| Greetings! I am going to buy a Camcorder "real" soon. In the future, I want to transfer images as mpegs then convert them to recordable DVD disc's. Should I go with a "8mm" Camcorder and buy a video capture card to do transfers to my PC in the future? Or should I buy a Digital Camcorder with a built in USB connector now, because maybe video capture cards will be obsolete in the future? Any input would be great as well as models and brands. Thanks a lot! Shaolin Smith. |
| Hello, Sony has introduced a new range of models using the "Digital8" Format. You Get the best of both worlds!!:-D it uses easy-to-find, cheap 8-mm tapes...but records on them digitally. there's a USB port and Firewire port, to download the video straight to a PC, for editing. What better option could you ask for?? check out the models on : http://www.sonystyle.com/digitalimaging/F_D8.shtml Have Fun! Bye |
