Posted on Depends on the outputs of your camcorder and the inputs of your laptop. And USB is not an acceptable way of transferring video and audio to the laptop. Preferred way is via firewire/IEEE1394. If you don't have it, you will need a video capture card. |

Posted on That handy cam has a firewire output so you have no problem there. Check your laptop if it has firewire input (IEEE1394) If it does, you are in luck! If not you have to get one. A firewire to USB adaptor is not going to work, so be forewarned. You are going to need a firewire cable and it is sold separately. You also need a video editing program to extract the movie from your handycam. And yes, the files will be quite large. |
