Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and looking for advice. I recently went on tour with an american band filming them during their UK tour. I used my jvc mini-dv camera (PAL as I'm in the UK) during the day and the gigs but it just couldn't handle shooting in low light conditions. Luckily one of the band had brought their Digital 8 camcorder with them, which had night shot. The thing is, I have uploaded all of my mini-dv footage onto my PC but have been left with 7 Hi-8 tapes and 1 digital 8 tape (all recorded in NTSC format)and no camcorder. I have looked at purchasing an NTSC digital 8 camcorder on ebay but they are all so expensive... My question is will a Hi8 camcorder play my Hi8 tapes even though they were recorded on a digital 8 camcorder? If the answer is yes could I then plug the Hi8 camcorder via the AV leads into an NTSC to PAL converter and then straight into my PAL mini dv camcorder? Sorry if this is a really stupid long winded question but I'm getting really confused...
