Help with first video camera purchase

I would like a video camera that is good for filming skiing shots (hitting jumps, clifs, rail slides, etc) that is good during the day (really sunny days on the mountain, snow reflects sun) and the muggy days( really cloudy ) as well as a good night video camera that performs well in the dark with limited lighting( street lamp, or car headlight lamp) for under 600$.

you can check out what i am selling for your first camera. it has treated me well as my first camera. it has 0lux for low light and nightshot. alos has firewire output to connect directly to your PC or MAC. go to this link on ebay if interested:

Justin,
Check out any of the offerings from Canon or JVC. Do not get any Sony that is in 8mm format.
Go with miniDV or a camera that uses a hard disk drive.

Hi All,

Can any one recommend me a good miniDV camcorder
for around about the 250 mark?
I.e canon mv830
sony hc 19
jvc gr..???

Im not worried about gadgets etc i just want a pint and film with nice image quality nite or day..

please?
