Tri-pod or Mono-pod?

Anonymous	Posted on Tuesday, January 03, 2006 - 20:45 GMT I recently acquired a 10x zoom digital camera, and will need to carry something to support it for long-lens shots. I already have an old tripod. It is heavy, and takes time to set up. Is a mono-pod or unipod an effective alternative?
