324 Rocket v8. It was the fastest car made that year. It was banned from Nascar for being too fast. Theres a great vid of it on Youtube doing a vintage race up Pikes peak.
I used to love to work on my own cars. Today you simply can't. I remember replacing a radiator in my 1984 Buick Regal and it only taking 20 minutes. I worked on a buddies 1972 Chevy Nova and remember being able to stand inside the engine bay. Try that in any car made after 1980.
Today you need a shoe horn just to replace the oil filter. Shoot several Jiffy Lubes kept asking me even where it was on my 2006 F-150.
I like vintage cars. Everything is out in the open.
Hard to imagine that a car made in the 80's is now considered vintage.
