Diamond Member Username: WingmanaliveWww.stainles... .ecrater.com Post Number: 21594 Registered: Jun-06 | Funny. Today's cell phones have 100+X the computing power than those game systems of the late 70's early 80's. |
Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rI compensate... Post Number: 9445 Registered: Jul-06 | Haha, there were too many systems that ended with "vision". Good old days. |
Gold Member Username: PitbullguyThe Chicago area Post Number: 4053 Registered: Oct-06 | They don't make em like they used to. I still have my SNES in a shoe box somewhere, and a million games to go with it. It's never needed any repair or adjustments or anything, and never once has a game not played, frozen, skipped etc. Not to mention how fun and addictive the more simplistic games still are. I've been afraid to plug the thing in for years for fear that I won't leave the house for 2 weeks straight. |

Running was murder on them lol. Anyone have these game systems hold onto them. They will so skyrocket in value over time. |
Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rI compensate... Post Number: 9449 Registered: Jul-06 | Pit, you were lucky haha. There were all sorts of issues with SNES because of the contacts getting dirty. There were also games that had batteries in them to keep saved games stored in memory that would take a dump on you and then you were screwed, that sucked! I can't say I remember that Olympics game on Atari but I had like every single game for the system in a huge cardboard box so who knows if it was in there haha. Do you remember the cost of Atari? I was too little to even count past 20 haha. |
Gold Member Username: Mrskullz1New York Post Number: 1280 Registered: Feb-07 | did any1 ever put their snes or n64 games in the freezer so they wouldnt skip or mess up? was that o.d? |
Gold Member Username: RideredderCornell, IL USA Post Number: 1744 Registered: Sep-05 | I still have my Atari 2600. Still works great too. I have around 40 games for it. I was going to hook up the Sega Saturn tonight but I forgot it's a fukin coax cable. Not really a problem but I can't hook up the surround sound to it. Only games I have for it are Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Oh and Daytona USA. That game was the sh!t in the arcade when it first came out. Damn, I feel old now. Seems so long ago. Actually I don't even remember when we got the Atari. My parents probably bought it before I was even born. |
