Shawn of the Dead is epic. From what I hear though Muddy is right, Zombieland is entirely different. Looks awesome to me, and Woody Harrelson is the f@#$ing man. Can't wait to see it.
I had to fast forward thru like 1/2 of it. not enough zombie killing, no notitty, not very original, and very predicable.
Shaun of the dead omaga man, the will smith one, or any of the night of the dead films were better imo.
If they did that same movie with say Will Farrel and his buddy, (fat guy from tallagada nights) then it would have been worth watching. even Jim carry would have made it funny.
I didnt see it as a horror, comedy or love story. Just a random bunch of things happening to some ramdom nobodies. And face it..Woody is a terrible actor.
How can you say woody is terrible!? Woody is the fu;ckin man! Natural born killers, people vs. larry flint, kingpin, the thin red line, seven pounds,^ no country for old men, semi-pro. Just to name a few.
Catch the early show to see it on the cheap! It was worth the money though that's for sure. I'm not really a fan of how the main character pretty much copied Michael Cera's(Evan in Superbad) style and...everything.
Wow.... after all the great reviews I really thought this movie would be really good but I thought it sucked. Woody was good as usual and the other actors were good too, but this movie wasn't funny (I don't think I laughed once other than at some of Woody's lines) and there was way less violence than I thought there would be. It felt like a PG13 movie in alot of places. They could have gotten away with so much more. And why all the talk of the super secret Bill Murray segment? What was so great about that? This film is alot like the video game Left4Dead, after like 20 minutes you are sick of zombies exploding.
I never get tired of zombies exploding Brad. Ever. And I'll be one of those guys in line for L4D2, hopefully this time it won't be as short or as easily manipulated as the first (as far as online gameplay).
Very original, nothing like Shawn of the Dead (an epic flick), nor did it try to be. Both movies have zombies, other than that they're entirely different.
The jokes were clever and well timed. The Bill Murray scene was absolutely f@#$ing hysterical. How anyone didn't find it funny is beyond me. I'd be curious to know if those who didn't like the film saw it in theaters or on the computer or what? Sometimes that makes a big difference.
