All of the other powerhouse schools in the lists above would have to lose at least two games as well. The chances of that happening are about as likely as Chad keeping a system intact for a year. In other words -- zero. |

They have an incredibly talented offense like most Big XII teams, but they still don't play shutdown D and they have NEVER faced a D like Florida or Alabama would bring. USA Post Number: 2353 Registered: May-06 | i just dont think floridas or bamas defense could slow down crabtree and harrell or bradford and his receivers. the big reasons our defenses are exploited for so much yardage is cause of the total spread offenses in the big 12. the SEC doesnt see the offensive power that we see every week and its easier for defensive coordinators to dial up a stop against a less potent offense, i wouldnt wanna try to call a defensive play with bradford at QB, and all that talent on the field that can go for 6 in 5 seconds everytime they touch the ball. im not dissing the SEC cause florida is scary good. even tho i dont like tebow i have to respect florida cause they are just badass and im percy harvin tho, that dude is fukkking fast. id like to see him and Demarco Murray have a footrace. |

If you watch Florida play you will see Tim make some throws that nearly drop your jaw. That's why I tend to let it go when most people say Tebow is going to be a bad NFL QB. If they think someone with a mix of his character, drive, and athleticism will not do ANYTHING they put their mind too then I think they underestimate the power of hard work and some faith. Chase, that statement is so farfetched that it is laughable. How could Texas, Tech, or Oklahomo play D against Florida if they can't contain a team like Kansas or Kansas State? Give me a break. Yeah they have some good offenses, but once again I'll inform you that the "Big XII" doesn't have a team with a defense rated inside the top 50. Oklahoma has the best total D in the big 12 and they are ranked 55 nationally. Florida is ranked number 6 in total defense and number 4 in scoring defense. If you can't be reasonable then don't involve yourself in the discussion. |

Our top tier teams would pwn the SEC top tiers according the Forde Yard Dash on espn.com USC is over hyped, and for someone to say im not informed is BS. i eat live and breathe college football. and no i dont just watch ou, i skipped the ou game to watch and SEC matchup instead. and the only reason i give bama credit is cause they are un defeated, i havent seen anything spectacular outta them, Florida on the other hand, is very special. they in my mind are the number 1 team right now, rankings aside. bama is number 4. just from what ive seen. i dont wanna get into another heated argument like last year so ive said all im gonna say. lets just keep it friendly from know on and watch what happens and let it play out, not that we can do anything about it anyways. cause as soon as i do say something ou will choke in the bowl game again. haha. They just happened to be 1 dimensional that night, and yes they will be get a chance at the big 12 championship if they beat oklahoma state. because BCS standings decide who plays from the South in the event of a 3-way tie. And yes Florida would have a hard time with Tech's offense, itd give them a rough time all night long. They are ahead in the USA Today, but not the AP or Harris meaning Florida should be number 2 when the BCS comes out. I could be wrong, but like I said before it doesn't matter. I don't think OU can even play for the title because Tech dropped off so hard after their loss. Texas is 4 and OU will be three, but Texas beat OU so wouldn't they play? "The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of fi nish (4, 5 and 6)" That is a direct quote from the Big XII website. OU is ranked higher and will be ranked higher at the end of the year (depending on if they lose again or not) but Texas beat them so I would think Texas would get the tie-breaker, but I am more asking then making assumptions as I really don't know. Florida is averaging around 6 points less a game than OU and OU hasn't played a top 50 defense all year while Florida has faced some of the toughest D's in the nation. OU's offense stats are SKEWED! No matter what, at the end of the regular season, whoever is ranked the highest between, texas, tech, or oklahoma is going to the big 12 title game. barring a loss by either of those 3 teams. its a weird 3 way tie system. but it looks like its going to be oklahoma in the big 12 champ game if they can get past Ok. State next week. its a rivarly so anything can happen. |
