If you want an DSLR style, I would look into the Pentax *ist DL, Nikon D40 (the D60 is not much of an upgrade at all), Olympus E-510 and the Sony A200, in that order. If you aren't ready to move up to a fairly complicated DSLR, I highly recommend the G7... there are usually a few in great shape on ebay like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=190270596655&Category=31388&_ trksid=p3907.m29&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2 That's a killer deal with the few extras he throws in and it's near mint.
