They used to target cruise ships and private vessels but have stepped it up over the years. Hell, they don't even have a way to refine the crude they recently hijacked. They don't care. Apparently their missions have been quite successful to the tune of millions of $ in ransoms. I wouldn't put it past them to hijack their cousin's boat and demand ransom from their uncle. |

I'm reading more and more about these pirates and how the locals actually rejoice their crimes. Why? Because it brings life to an otherwise dead area. No banking institutions, no organized police, no laws enforced..... Also when the success rate for them is well over 80% bringing their country millions of $ in ransoms it's just amazing to me. I'd have to mount a mini gun on deck. See them coming and pick them off 200 yards away.  |
