and yeah thats the way I feel too about people getting tatoos..MOST tatoo's are not impressive, and don't make any statements, regardless what the owner is trying to bring attention to..and if a tatoo is about something dear and close in your family or life, its always in your mind, ya don't need to wear it on your arm as a remembrance (spell check)..
They can also be an omen or curse. Before I got married my Ex-wife and I decided to get something for ourselves. A tattoo each it was. After deciding on the road runner and coyote (my favorite childhood cartoon ever) she was getting the road runner on her ankle and Wile.E was going on my arm. The tattooist looked at me and tried to reason with our choice.
"You know the coyote never ends up getting the road runner right?"
Needless to say 10 years later we are divorced. Who would've thought a $200 tattoo was the best would be marital advice I never took?
