The mother of Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson has been killed. Investigators said two shooting victims were discovered inside a home belonging to Hudson's mother just before 3:00 PM on Friday. The home is located at 7019 South Yale in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. One of the victims was 57-year-old Darnell Hudson. The other victim was identified as Jennifer's brother, Jason. A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies. Darnell was shot in the head and Jason was shot in the chest, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. The shooting is believed to be domestic, police said. Hudson is said to be flying to Chicago from Tampa. UPDATE 6:40 PM ET: An all points bulletin has been issued for a boy, believed to be Hudson's 7-year-old nephew (right), who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859. UPDATE 7:35 PM ET: Police are looking for William Balfour (below), who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson's mother's address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder. UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: Lost in all this is Jennifer's sister Julia, mother of the missing 7-year-old. We're told she works as a bus driver in Chicago. Her employer told us she worked her shift today. Silver Member Username: JustforhahasPost Number: 689 Registered: Jul-08 | Chicago has always been notorious for murders...I have had 4 close friends (various ages and backgrounds) from Massachusetts, over a 5 year period, murdered there, while traveling through, while staying at 4 different hotels in good areas..None of the 4 knew each other, stayed in different nice hotels, and the police did little to no investigations and showed little interest, and these murders are still unresolved, with no arrests. Murder is an accepted way of daily life in Chicago, by the authorities .. |

This guy only got 7 years in prison for attempted murder, carjacking and possession of a stolen vehicle. Then he gets out, sells Jennifer's moms car, she finds out and calls him on it, and he goes over there and kills everyone in the house. And then bails with his wifes son. You know what bothers me the most about this? The only reason the police (and now FBI) even care about this case is because of all the news and internet attention it is getting. They don't give a flying fück about Jennifer or her family, they care only because the nations eyes are now upon them, and demand action. All the other hundreds of victims and their families in Chicago got 1/100 of this attention, which is why a majority of them are unsolved. Only in America... Silver Member Username: JustforhahasPost Number: 723 Registered: Jul-08 | Its all true..and made news all over Mass, and recently in Chicago when the mother of one of my dead buds, won a $5,000,000 civil lawsuit against the person she belives killed her son, after she hired a private investigator (retired chicago cop)...I suspect criminal charges now will be brought against him, and a civil lawsuit against the Chicago police dept..I don't have the time or want now to research these news stories, but you all can , if ya want.. here's the name "Jesse Miller", age about 27 then, killed about 5 years ago..go for it! |

Its a sad time for these families, who need some comfort, in any way they can...and hopefully the Chicago Police dept will come under severe scrutiny and gather enough eveidence to succesfully punish severely this killer.. the death of an innocent young child is extremely painful for everybody to deal with! |
