At around 11:30 p.m., CSOs asked a male student using a computer in the back of the room to leave when he was unable to produce a BruinCard during a random check. The student did not exit the building immediately.
The CSOs left, returning minutes later, and police officers arrived to escort the student out. By this time the student had begun to walk toward the door with his backpack when an officer approached him and grabbed his arm, at which point the student told the officer to let him go. A second officer then approached the student as well.
The student began to yell "get off me," repeating himself several times.
It was at this point that the officers shot the student with a Taser for the first time, causing him to fall to the floor and cry out in pain. The student also told the officers he had a medical condition.
Laila Gordy, a fourth-year economics student who was present in the library during the incident, said police officers threatened to shoot her with a Taser when she asked an officer for his name and his badge number.
that was crazy, they tazered that kid so many times and just told him to get up right after he was tazed. those cops are crazy. if i was him i would try and get the cops for excessive force.
correction though voltage can still kill you. I know that amperage is the one that mostly kills you but yet voltage can still kill you. But it doesnt happen often
Regarding the vid Chris Stiles posted, they literally tazered a KID who they had PINNED TO THE GROUND by about six fu<king cops. I really question the intelligence level, and social/moral views of anyone who doesn't find that inappropriate.
SOME cops these days are being retarded. I get looked down on by a lot of people by telling them that I am going into law enforcement. When one thing like this surfaces, people think all police officers are bad.
Or police cheif had an affair with a cadet and then screwed the girl out of being a cop. He denies it now but Im friends with a bunch of cops and all of them say he will be fired. ^^one of my friends went there and knew that kid and said he was an idiot. i went to "gator growl" at UF a while back because lynard skynyrd was there anyway there was a vid making fun of this kid infront of thousands of people it was funny.
