On a related note, if you find this stuff interesting, go out and rent "City of God" if you haven't already seen it. I absolutely LOVE this film!!! It's a story of kids growing up in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, and it spans through the 60's, 70's, and 80's, centered loosely around one character. Seriously, the way THESE gangs grow up and live, makes america's "hoods" and "ghettos" look clean cut. |
