The rumors were when they started arranging this film was that Maxwell Smart would be played by Jim Carrey... who I think would have been great. They ended up with Steve Carell as Max and Anne Hathaway as 99. The casting of The Rock as Agent 23 was lame IMO. Alan Arkin will play The Chief and Bill Murray will be Agent 13. Could be good, who knows?
i knew about this for about 2 years , steve carell is the leading man he plays maxwell in my opinon i don't like his acting but it could be worse, they could be making another friday the 13th.....OH wait, they ARE and it has nothing to do with any of the others, just like the hulk.
