Then we set our rosters for the game. And yahoo keeps track of the stats of our players and we earn points for the stats. Better he does, better the points we get. You go head to head with someone else in the league and whoever has the most points at the end of the week wins. |

The pre-draft rankings are for auto draft or if someone doesn't show up for the draft. Thursday and Fri are the only days this week I can be here at 8P. Any weekday next week is fine. We just have to go with the best day for everyone and if a couple can't make it, we need to move ahead anyways. Opening Day is the Tuesday the 25th. So how about this... everyone post when you CAN'T make it at 8P/11E and we will find the day where everyone can be there. I am out of town wednesday and this weekend but any day next week is fine. I say we shoot for mon-wed next week. |

I understand it for the most part but i'm unclear on a few things. Like do you score more/less depending on if a player is plugged in at his position vs. utility? And with the head to head, at the end of your matchup is it just whoever is ahead in more categories wins? Or does it matter HOW MUCH you won the category by. Also is the severity of the win or loss significant after that matchup is over, like for tie-breakers or w/e? If you can answer these questions, great, or a link to like an entire overview of the scoring/rules would be even better. Fukodome ftw. |

Gold Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego, California Post Number: 3651 Registered: Dec-06 | In a Head-to-Head League, your team will square off in a weekly matchup against another manager's team to see who can compile the best stats across a number of different categories. A new weekly matchup begins every Monday and will consist of a set number of games based on your league's statistical categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Sunday's games). So, if in a given week, your team hits more home runs than your opponent's, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with more saves than your team, you would be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each will receive credit for a tied game. This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, which will be used to determine standings and playoff seedings. These standings will be based on your team's overall winning percentage, which is calculated by taking your win total and adding 1/2 of your tie total and dividing the sum by the total number of games your team has played. Head-to-head scoring is available in both Public and Custom Leagues.
