A Beagle, Uno, won the best in show award at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog for the first time ever. I used to have a beagle-bassett mix and it was one of the best dogs I ever had. Anyways, not the most thrilling of threads but that is one good looking dog and beagles rule!
i love beagels. they are great people dogs and tons of fun.. hopefully that'll be my next dog. i'd love an alaskan husky.. but just don't have room for a big dog.
I thought about starting a thread like this but i didn't think anyone would be interested. Uno is way cool. Beautiful dog, epitome of the breed standard.
One of my favorites from recent memory, Josh the newfoundland, 2004's Best in Show:
Cats: poops in box,(almost from birth), doesn't need walked at 7 in the morning, won't bother neighbors with barking, less expensive to feed, great mousers, can be left alone for days without supervision, easier on the yard, will do stupid things to entertain you.
Dogs: Trainable, ability to take a lovable roughhouse beating lol, man's best friend, will die for it's family in face of danger (cats flee lol), forgives master for ANYTHING, more child friendly, LOVES water, protective and disciplined.......
"poops in box" Our outside dogs poops in the neighbors yard
"doesn't need walked at 7 in the morning" Our outside dog runs all over approx. 200 acres around our house
"won't bother neighbors with barking" Our neighbors house is about a half mile away
"less expensive to feed" she eats leftovers and LOVES them
"great mousers" Wanna see field mice she kills and brings up for the fun of it? I can take pics
"can be left alone for days without supervision" When her dog bowl gets filled completly, she knows we are going on vacation and eats moderatly. She can be by herself for 5 days and be fine
"easier on the yard" Only thing she does to our yard is burries deer legs, half eaten geese and sometimes turtle shells
"will do stupid things to entertain you" We just let her chase the lazer pointer around
probably animal aggression. they don't show what he's looking at in the pic but it's probably another dog or a squirrel or rabbit or something. He obviously is not only okay with the woman being there but even restricting him with a leash.
