daaaaaaamn jack, most oi ever made was 11 a hr, 10 before that. then unemploy for a while now possibly a bank, interview monday. but VT theres a factor you have to weigh in. for me i have a shiiiiit load of hobbies and 2 grand in bills just sitting there. for most on here it's car audio and nothing more so it's not like a ton of funding goes elsewhere. i got over a grand wrapped up in game consoles alone, let alone the other 2 grand in the games. plus noboday pays someone to do the work they bust thier azz as i do and do it themselves. so yes it costs alot but many cut cost by doing it themselves. so if u take in account all that the comunity spends per system vs other hobby's thier really on the same page.

Audio shop.

$7/hr
1/2 labor prices (less small parts fees)
commision on sales (5%)

Not bad for a college student. Gets nice when I have alot of installs.
Hu installs are usually the best...quick, simple, $.

Try living in NJ. It's just me and my boy in a 3 bedroom rancher and I pay over 5 grand/year in taxes. Car insurance is ludicrous, health insurance is a nitemare, and we have an "exit tax" that prohibits anyone selling their property and moving to another state without paying a "fine". NJ is as corrupt as they come.

That's fucked up.

i'm not trying to attack u, what i'm saying is, did u walk in with a note pad and pen? did u have a resume?

basically what did u do to remind him that YOU want that job over joe blow down the street...do u see what i'm saying? u need to make an impression in his mind that when he goes to hire for that job u are the one that comes to mind first.

Jeremy, I know your not attacking me. I'm talking about stores like BB, CC, D1cks, and other stores along those lines where you have to apply online. I should probably set my sights to jobs where they don't receive applications daily.

I locked my mortgage rate in 4 years ago at 5 1/2%. Glad I did. Buddy of mine at work just got married and bought a house similar to mine with some more land. His mortgage is $2000/mo for 30 years.

In this state you need to earn $30,000/year just to live in an apartment by yourself. One bedrooms are $750/month.

Veeerrryyy fucked up.

"where you have to apply online."
Yanks, Are there odd questions on there?
Like;
Do you feel your self to be friendly and outgoing?
Do others percieve you as helpful?

If so, it may be a psyche test, and you Failed. Those that fail dont make it to round 2, The call back.
You need to study what answeres they are looking for, not what you think they should be. Also, DL a good resume off the web somewhere and tweek it to make it fit "your" experiances.

Predictive indexing is one known test. It tells whether a person is worth investing resources on or not.

"Predictive Index is a deceptively simple, yet very accurate personality profile (personality test) which helps match the right person with the right job. Although an obvious application is in the hiring and selection process, there are a number of other uses which include: team building, recruiting, reducing costly turnover, identifying and solving "people" problems, finding the right person to promote, and improving employee job satisfaction and morale.

Most CEO's say their number one problem is employee turnover. The key to retaining employees is to first understand what motivates them. Predictive Index identifies candidate's strengths and motivational needs and compares them to job related aptitudes. Predictive Index identifies a clear picture of applicants and employees strengths compared to the requirements of the job. Because this becomes an in-house tool for organizations, managers are trained to interpret, analyze and apply the results. Through this training, the Predictive Index System is used independently by business managers to make more informed people decisions. "

we were not contracted .. we worked for Archer and Associate.. if anything his company was contracted..

most i knew was our job.. we flowed the well after it was fraced until the gas was cleaned up with few traces of salt water and no more sand.. after it was cleaned up it went right on the line to be sold connected directly into whoever owned the lines

most of the drilling down here in Texas .. well up north where i am is natural gas

this is the exact job i did.. website link.. thats the company

btw working the choke manifold when they drilled the plugs was a b!tch

http://archerassoc.com/services/choke_manifold.htm

run side will run until it gets plugged then you have to hurry up and switch sides or the drill will get backed up.. then you gotta break the side down wit ha sledge hammer and pull the tube out and clean it.. then reassemble it.. by then the other one will probably be clogged :-(

I do home remodeling and maintenance. I have my CPO license and real estate license. I don't have a "job", I really just get paid as I work.
- real estate commission only, 3% off of every sale. Nothing's really selling now sooo...
- CPO (glorified pool boy) check some hotel pools in the summer (and of course help my parents with theres).
- I do HTML/CSS/JavaScript/VBScript/Visual Basic/C++/Java Programming on the side. I really just like to do website from scratch (hard coding) though. I tried to start a business doing that around here and it just didn't take off- probably because of my age and peoples lack of faith in the youth. Though guess who comes and fixes their computers? I am designing a website for a local car audio shop at the moment.
- I install car audio equipment for people sometimes as well.
- Other stuff is just piece work. I do painting, plumbing, roofing, flooring, electrical, just about anything a house could need. It helps me keep a flexible schedule so I can have fun with my toys and my wife :-) I try to work at least 6 10-12 hour days a week, but I normally end up working 7 and cutting out early a few days. While it's what I enjoy doing the least, it makes me the most money so that's where I am right now.
- My parents have a few rental properties I do all the work on for them, and I help them manage that to an extent because they're getting pretty old now.

^When I say 3% with real estate keep in mind that's not set. It varies with the property type and what people are willing to pay. Honestly 3% stays competitive, less than that agents start to turn your property down :-(
