Ya, so I finally got everything ready to go and wired, but my enclosure is too long to fit in the trunk! I was thinking about taking it apart and rebuilding it inside the trunk, but would there be an easier way to get it in there? Ive been thinking about taking the back seat off again, but i'd have to take out the passenger side seat also and that would be a lot of work also :-(

that sucks man. i learned the first time lol what i did was put the enclosure together with a few screws to see if it'd fit or not, and adjust if necessary. its a process but it's worth it

well after I cut all the pieces, I laid it all out in the trunk and it fit fine, but after putting it all together, I wasn't able to get it in there because of my tail lights

You're supposed to measure the opening to you're trunk...But I guess you know that now.

I had a similar problem with my RE 15" MT sub. After the box was made and measured, on paper it all worked out. However, in the trunk, there was a latch and some body panel that were higher than expected. I had to unscrew the latch, cut away some of the body panel before shoving the box in. It barely made it. Of course the fact that the box weighed over 120 lbs didn't help. It was some workout.

I did this with my first box. I ended up cutting it in half, and putting the halves together inside my trunk. You have to make sure it is sealed very well though.

actually, I was not planning on carpeting this enclosure...

also, I check my back seats and there is like, a metal sheet that goes across the whole back seat. Does anyone know if that is removable?

"I assume you tried rotating it and angling it to get it to fit? haha."

Yes, I tried a lot of different angles and they all failed miserably!

"lol at this thread. sorry to hear that, lesson learned though"

Indeed...A most valuable lesson.

9 times out of 10 those braces are welded in because they are part of the crash structure
